Campaign of Scandiaca Dictionary
ACTION - A single
order which a realm character executes during turn processing. An action is entered
into the turn submission form using the dropdown boxes on the realm character turn
page. Actions are formatted as follows... [action
{:Parameter1{|Parameter2{|Parameter3}}}].
ACTION QUEUE
- The box where your turn information is stored on the realm character turn submission
page.
AGGRESSIVE - One of four possible intents.
Aggressive realm characters seek battle with anyone they encounter, except for realm
characters of the same dominion or an allied dominion. The chances of a random encounter
with a creature increases when set to Aggressive. Note that one's infamy may increase
when traveling as aggressive.
ATTRIBUTE POINT - When a Campaign
Point is used to increase an existing character's Intellectual Strength, Physical
Strength, or Mystical Strength, then that point is also called an attribute point.
Every attribute point allocated increases the character's base scores. Every three
attribute points earned grants one knowledge point.
CAMPAIGN POINTS(CPs)- Through adventuring,
Realm Characters can earn Campaign Points for their Dominion. These points are used
for Realm Character advancement. Campaign Points are the most important resource
in the game - use them wisely. Realm characters earn CPs through adventuring and
completion of Campaign Goals. These CPs can be used to increase attribute scores.
CRUSADE - One of four possible intents. Characters
set for Crusade will act as if set to aggressive for all non-realm character encounters.
However, if a realm character is encountered, they are treated as if they are set
to Neutral unless that realm character is recognized as someone from a dominion
that has been declared as an Enemy.
KNOWLEDGE POINT - These are earned
by allocating Campaign Points toward a Realm Character's attribute scores. Knowledge
points are "spent" by increasing one's abilities within a specific skill group.
SCORE - Your realm character's Score is what
leads to earning more campaign points. Your Score increases all of the time, even
from everyday activity. The Score you have is a combination of gold earned, creatures
encountered (not necessarily attacked or killed), locations explored and general
adventuring activity. At certain levels, your score produces a new campaign point
to use.
VAULT - Your dominion has what is called your
"Dominion Vault". It is a disconnected storage space for your valuables which you
do not want to carry on your realm characters. It is only accessible when your realm
characters are inside of a city or stronghold.
